Mission and Values

The Deep River and District Hospital is a rural hospital serving a population of about 7,500 people in the Upper Ottawa Valley. The hospital provides 24 hour emergency services, active medical and specialized cardiac care services, as well as, long-term care services.

The hospital is accredited with the Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation and is a member of the Champlain Healthcare Network. It is also linked with the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), and the Ottawa Heart Institute.

Mission
We aim to provide access to a broad range of contemporary acute and long-term health care services for our diverse, rural community.


Vision
We will accomplish our mission by:

• Remaining accountable and fiscally responsible to the people we serve and the government of Ontario,
• Supporting and providing a safe workplace for our most important asset, our staff,
• Investing in strategic partnerships with other health care and social service providers, and
• Mobilizing technology to enhance access to care and education
