Strategic Direction #1: Be a Recognized Rural Health Leader in Quality and Patient Safety
Goal #1: Full implementation and utilization of an Incident Management System to track the analysis and resolution of all reported safety and quality related incidents or “good catch’ reports.
Goal #2: Fulfill all requirements of the 2012 Accreditation process including having all Required Operational Procedures in place.
Goal # 3: Achieve goals in the 2012-13 Quality Improvement Plan.
Strategic Direction # 2: Provide Exceptional Quality Health Care through the Creative Generation and Effective Use of All Resources
Goal #4: Meet all requirements of our 2012-13 Hospital Service Accountability Agreement (H-SAA) with the Champlain LHIN.
Goal #5: Complete a detailed analysis of the organizational work climate of DRDH and tie into an updated HR Plan for the organization for the balance of the 2012-15 planning cycle.
Goal # 6: Complete planned renovations to the Emergency Department and ambulance entrance way to the Hospital within approved budget.
Strategic Direction # 3: Provide the Communities served with improved access to local health care services.
Goal #7: Enable every resident in the catchment area of the Hospital to have access to primary care through a primary health care professional.
Goal #8: Improve access to and awareness of community-based resources, including tele-medicine services, to help individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse problems.
Strategic Direction #4: Be at the Forefront of Rural E-Health Innovation Through Collaboration and Partnerships.
Goal #9: Complete implementation of self-registration process for emergency department and achieve 35% utilization of new technology.
Goal #10: Assess the opportunity for using basic health information from the existing community-standard EMR to enable more integrated care of local patients in our Emergency Department by all visiting physicians.
Goal #11: Assess options for a viable and affordable Electronic Medical Record for in-patient services and establish a plan for future implementation.
Strategic Direction #5: Champion Local Partnerships to Create an All-Inclusive Health System.
Goal #12: Champion the formation of a collaborative North Renfrew Health Council and set local priorities for 2012-15
Goal #13: Establish semi-annual executive meetings with PRH and demonstrate progress in collaboration in at least one area of health delivery.
Goal # 14: Continue to work with CHEO to extend partnership work to other Renfrew County healthcare providers (i.e., the development of a childhood obesity program).
Strategic Direction #6: Continue to Promote Population Health Awareness, Education and Promotion Activities
Goal # 15: Put a plan in place to achieve a baseline of Deep River & District population health and demographic data

Goal #18: Successfully recruit and integrate a new CEO into the evolving world of Deep River and District Hospital.
