Duties:

 

  • Work closely with Project Lead(s) to provide project management support including monitoring of project schedules and working with team members in preparation of reports and documentation.
  • Assist with project management and implementation.
  • Coordinate implementation of initiatives, directives and special projects.
  • Organize schedule and track multiple projects and timelines.
  • Assess project output against quality control standards.
  • Assist team members in production of presentations and reports.
  • Track, collect and report information on project activities, progress, outcomes and milestones.
  • Evaluate and escalate project problems related to scope.
  • Coordinate, prepare agendas/minutes and follow up on action items for internal and external meetings.
  • Assist with communication with consultants, clients, construction, marketing team and other project stakeholders.
  • Other duties may be assigned and may not be limited to the scope of an individual department.

 

 

Qualifications:                       

 

  • Post-secondary education in Health or Social Sciences, Business Administration or acceptable combination of equivalent experience required.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience in health care environment.
  • Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in a project coordination role required.
  • Understanding of both clinical and administrative functions, workflows and processes within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of change management process, redesign of clinical and/or business process.
  • Demonstrated excellence in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Maintain staff and patient/resident confidentiality.
  • Understanding of principles of adult learning.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff including physicians, patient service leaders, Ministry representatives and other internal/external client groups.
  • Demonstrate initiative, sound judgment and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal, written, facilitative and computer skills required.
  • Exceptional Attendance required.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures.
  • Must agree to adhere to DRDH standards of behaviour.
  • Support and demonstrate the Mission, Vision and Values of Deep River and District Hospital.
