On the afternoon of January 21, the gastric outbreak previously declared on the Deep River and District Hospital’s medical floor is now over.
The outbreak has been declared over by Public Health, as all of our patients’ symptoms have fully resolved and the incubation period has ended.
Thank you to all visitors who took extra precautions during the outbreak to limit the spread of infection. Also, thank you to all our staff for their hard work in containing the outbreak and helping to resolve it so quickly.
Signage has now been removed and outbreak precautions cease to be in effect.
