Our team works closely with you and your family to ensure high-quality, safe, and person-centred care throughout your hospital stay.
Deep River & District Health supports the spiritual well-being of all patients by offering access to a multi-use, non-denominational spiritual space on-site. This quiet, inclusive space is available for reflection, prayer, or ceremony, and is designed to support a wide range of spiritual and cultural practices.
The space also supports the use of Indigenous medicines, including smudging, in recognition of the diverse spiritual practices of those we serve.

Patient Identification
For your safety, a hospital identification wristband will be issued to you upon admission. Your care team will regularly check your wristband and confirm your name before administering treatments, medications, or tests. This is a standard safety practice in hospitals.
For more details on your hospital stay and how to stay safe during your admission, please refer to our Patient Information Guide.
Our hospital does not have fixed visiting hours. We encourage visits from family and friends, but ask that all visitors be respectful of patients’ need for rest, particularly during the evening and overnight hours. Thank you for helping us create a healing environment for everyone in our care.
