We are proud to be supported by the Deep River & District Health Auxiliary, a dedicated group of volunteers committed to championing local healthcare through education, fundraising, and the promotion of volunteer services.

Auxiliary members foster strong community partnerships that enhance care across the DRDH campus.
Since forming in 1974, the Auxiliary has donated more than $2 million and contributed nearly 450,000 volunteer hours in support of DRDH (as of the end of 2024). Thanks to the Auxiliary’s ongoing financial support, programs such as the Preschool Speech and Language Program are available to families in our region.
The Auxiliary operates the gift shop and the Whistle Stop, and also supports patient and resident programs by providing caring, compassionate volunteers.
Volunteering with the Deep River & District Health Auxiliary is a meaningful way to give back, and it can enrich your life in many ways. Whether you’re looking to make new connections, explore healthcare settings, or simply share your time with others, you’re welcome to join.
Opportunities include volunteering in the gift shop and the Whistle Stop, as well as helping with evening nutrition and assisting with recreational or escort activities for long-term care residents.
To apply, please complete the Auxiliary volunteer application form, available for download or for pick-up at the gift shop, the Whistle Stop, or the DRDH Administration Office. If you have any questions, please contact Eileen Burke, Auxiliary President, at 613-401-4546.
If you are interested in volunteering specifically within Four Seasons Lodge long-term care home, please visit our volunteer program page.
