At Deep River & District Health, our commitment to excellence extends beyond the delivery of care; it is grounded in a strong foundation of transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
As a trusted health partner in our community, we hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of quality, safety, and governance.
Whether you’re a patient, resident, family member, or community partner, we believe you deserve to know how we are working every day to provide safe, high-quality care, as well as how we’re planning for an even better tomorrow.
Below, you’ll find a number of corporate accountability initiatives that illustrate how we’re doing and the areas where we are actively working to improve the quality of our care and services.
Deep River & District Health voluntarily participates in a national accreditation process through Accreditation Canada, reinforcing our dedication to accountability, excellence, and continuous quality improvement. Accreditation involves external surveyors assessing our performance against national standards of care, helping us understand where we are doing well and where we can do even better.
We are proud to have earned Accreditation with Exemplary Standing in our most recent survey, the highest distinction awarded by Accreditation Canada. This achievement reflects the efforts of our dedicated team and the strength of our commitment to safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
We are committed to continuously improving the quality of care we provide at Deep River & District Health, care that we would be proud to offer our own loved ones. Our Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) is a key tool in helping us achieve that goal. It outlines specific priorities, measurable targets, and strategies for improvement, offering a clear roadmap to guide our efforts.
Developed in alignment with provincial priorities and local needs, the QIP reflects the indicators most relevant to our organization and services. This includes a core set of metrics tracked by similar healthcare organizations across Ontario.
