Deep River & District Hospital is actively recruiting physicians seeking to practice rural emergency medicine. On average, our Emergency Department sees well over 14, 000 patients annually. Our facilities include two resuscitation beds, two observation beds, one procedure room, four treatment rooms, and a family conference space. On-site services include diagnostic imaging support, PACS, laboratory support, cardiac monitoring, and bedside ultrasound. Full-time, part-time, and locum opportunities are available. Mentor shifts are also available for new graduates or physicians seeking to return to practice in the Emergency Department.

Deep River & District Hospital’s 16-bed medical inpatient unit is supported through a Hospitalist model, primarily covered by local family physicians with various weeks available to locum physicians. The Hospitalist rotation is seven days a week, Friday to Friday, with no overnight on-call requirements and a competitive daily stipend paid. Four Seasons Lodge long-term care home is presently home to 12 residents with plans in place to welcome a total of 96 residents to our new home onsite over the next few years. With physician coverage presently supported by dedicated local family physicians, we anticipate that, with the growth of our new long-term care home, we will expand our needs for additional physician services.
