The Deep River & District Health Foundation is proud to launch Get On Board – Connecting Community, a new fundraising campaign focused on connection, dignity, and quality of life for residents of the Four Seasons Lodge Long‑Term Care Home.
As our new 96‑bed Lodge comes to life, our priority is the residents who will call it home. Creating a true sense of home means staying connected to the people and places that matter most—and that depends on safe, accessible transportation.
Our goal is to raise $750,000 to acquire a fleet of fully accessible, wheelchair‑friendly buses, along with the equipment and initial operating support needed to run them. These buses will allow residents to attend appointments safely, take part in community activities, visit familiar places, and maintain vital social connections.
Accessible transportation supports the safety and dignity of our residents while also creating new opportunities to strengthen connections across our broader community in the future.
Fundraising will continue over the coming months with opportunities to donate, participate in events, and learn more about the impact of your support. Every gift, no matter the size, helps move this vision forward.
We have worked hard to keep our loved ones closer to home. Now, let’s keep them connected to our community.

We are thrilled to announce the successful completion of the Closer to Home campaign, our community’s most ambitious fundraising effort to date. Together, we have raised $2.5 million, achieving our goal to equip and furnish the new 96-bed Four Seasons Lodge long-term care home.
This remarkable achievement is a testament to the generosity and dedication of our community. Your contributions have ensured that every resident room, dining area, and family lounge is outfitted with the necessary furniture and medical equipment to provide comfort and quality care. From specialty mattresses to accessible seating, your support has transformed a building into a welcoming home.
The new Four Seasons Lodge, set to open in 2027, will significantly increase long-term care capacity in our region, reducing wait times and allowing more individuals to receive care close to their loved ones.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every donor, volunteer, and supporter who made this campaign a success.
