Board of Directors

The Deep River & District Health Board of Directors is responsible for overseeing the governance of our multi-sector organization and guiding its growth within the health system. As we expand, innovate, and modernize our campus of care, the Board plays a key role in ensuring we meet the evolving needs of our community.

Our Board sets the mission and strategic direction of DRDH and provides vital oversight to help us achieve our goals. We strive for a diverse, skills-based Board that reflects the communities we serve.

Serving as a Director is a meaningful and rewarding way to contribute to the future of healthcare in our area. Directors are elected for three-year volunteer terms. Board meetings typically occur monthly, with committees meeting quarterly or as needed.

Patient & Resident Representatives

Patient and Resident Representatives play a vital role in shaping practices that directly impact the care and services we provide. These dedicated individuals sit on various committees across the organization, offering their unique perspective to help ensure that patient and resident experiences are always at the forefront of decision-making.

As a representative, you’ll collaborate with healthcare professionals, Board members, and other stakeholders to provide feedback, share ideas, and advocate for continuous improvement. Your involvement helps ensure that the voices of patients and residents are reflected in the development of organizational strategies and initiatives.

Representatives are appointed for a one-year renewable volunteer term and serve on committees that typically meet quarterly or as needed. By sharing your insights, you’ll be helping us strengthen our commitment to compassionate, person-centred care.
