Through our partnership with Nipissing University, RPNs can earn their Bachelor of Science in Nursing on a part-time basis while continuing to work locally. This flexible, online program allows participants to complete clinical placements close to home, making career advancement more accessible than ever.
BEGIN supports career progression for Personal Support Workers and Registered Practical Nurses working in long-term care. With financial assistance and career laddering opportunities, this program is designed to help PSWs become RPNs and RPNs become RNs.
New grads, retired nurses, and those returning to the profession may be eligible for up to $25,000 in funding through CCPN. This incentive is available to nurses who have not worked in the field in the previous six months and commit to full-time work with an approved employer for two years.
This innovative program allows students to work part-time in long-term care while completing Humber College’s Personal Support Worker program. Participants gain hands-on experience and income while training to become certified PSWs.
By investing in mentorship and professional development, Nursing PLEDGE helps build nursing capacity and supports high-quality care in long-term care settings. Participating homes may receive up to $39,000 per year in mentor stipend funding through this program.
JOIN LTC supports the recruitment and retention of nurses in Ontario’s long-term care sector. Through this initiative, financial incentives are available to Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs), and Nurse Practitioners (NPs) who are pursuing a career in long-term care.
This program provides financial incentives to support Personal Support Workers (PSWs) in launching their careers in long-term care and home and community care settings across Ontario. Eligible students may receive up to $5,440 during their clinical placement. Additional funding, including recruitment, relocation, and rural or northern incentives of up to $10,000 each, is available for PSWs who commit to 12 months of employment.
The Ontario Learn and Stay Grant provides funding to cover tuition, books, compulsory fees, and other direct educational expenses for students enrolled in priority postsecondary programs in underserved and growing communities across Northern, Southwestern, and Eastern Ontario. In exchange for funding, recipients commit to working in the region where they studied after graduation. This program helps address local labour market needs and strengthens the health care workforce in high-demand communities.
