Visiting & Parking

We believe that well-being thrives when residents are surrounded by the people who matter most to them. That’s why we welcome visitors, such as family, friends, and loved ones, as essential partners in creating a safe, supportive, and person-centred living environment.

We do not have fixed visiting hours. Instead, we encourage visits that reflect the individual routines and preferences of each resident. Rest and relaxation are important, too, so we kindly ask visitors to be mindful of quieter times, particularly during the evening and overnight hours.

Family Presence

Family means something different to everyone. Whether that’s a partner, relative, close friend, or chosen family, our residents have the right to decide who visits them and when. Our team is here to support those choices, ensuring that visits are safe, comfortable, and meaningful.

Essential Caregivers

Essential Caregivers play a vital role in supporting a loved one’s care and may visit at any time, based on the needs of the resident. If you are unsure whether you are considered an Essential Caregiver, please speak with a member of our care team.

Keeping Everyone Safe

To help maintain a safe environment for everyone, we ask all visitors to follow a few simple infection prevention and control practices:

  • Masks: Visitors are encouraged, but not required, to wear a fresh procedure mask. Masks are available at all main entrances.
  • Illness: If you are experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, or other signs of illness, please postpone your visit until you are feeling better.
  • Hand hygiene: Clean your hands using sanitizer when entering and leaving the building and again when entering and leaving a resident’s room.
  • Designated areas: Please remain in the designated visiting area (e.g., resident’s room and common spaces) and refrain from using resident washrooms.

Please note: Visitation guidelines may change based on infection risks and public health recommendations. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work to protect the health of all those in our care.

Parking

To help sustain services and continue delivering excellent care, our health campus uses a convenient Pay-by-Plate system. Upon arrival, visitors can pay for parking at one of our indoor kiosks by entering their license plate number. Payment can be made by coin or credit card. Once payment is complete, there is no need to return to your vehicle; license plate numbers are stored in a secure web-based system used for parking enforcement.
Please note that failure to pay for parking may result in a ticket or towing at the vehicle owner’s expense.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking spaces are available in close proximity to entrances and are visibly marked.

Parking Rates

Parking rates at Four Seasons Lodge are as follows:

  • $5 for 24 hours
  • $30 for a 30-day pass
  • $300 for a 365-day pass

Note: 30-day and 365-day passes allow up to two license plates to be registered per pass.

Pet Visits

We understand the joy and comfort a visit from a beloved pet can bring to residents during their stay. To ensure the safety, well-being, and comfort of all residents, visitors, and staff, family dogs must be registered with the appropriate nursing unit prior to visiting.

The designated handler is responsible for the animal at all times and must comply with all organizational policies, including current Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) guidelines. Visiting dogs must be fully vaccinated, and proof of vaccination must be available upon request. Dogs should be calm, well-behaved, and comfortable in a clinical setting. Any signs of aggression or disruption may result in the visit being discontinued.

Service animals, such as guide dogs, hearing dogs, and other certified assistance dogs, are generally permitted without prior authorization.

Visits from other types of family pets are not encouraged but may be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with DRDH policies. Please contact the appropriate nursing unit for more information.

Gift Shop

Conveniently located inside the main entrance, the gift shop at DRDH is operated entirely by dedicated volunteers. The shop offers a thoughtfully curated selection of items including greeting cards, personal care products, and small gifts, perfect for visitors, residents, and staff alike.

All proceeds from the gift shop support initiatives of the Deep River & District Health Auxiliary, helping to enhance care and services across the organization.
