MyFM Pembroke 104.9: Construction on Deep River long-term care home on track for spring completion
Construction of the new 96-bed Four Seasons Lodge Long-Term Care Home in Deep River continues to progress, with completion expected in spring 2027 and residents anticipated to move in during the summer.
In a recent interview with MyFM Pembroke 104.9, Janna Hotson, President and CEO of Deep River and District Health (DRDH), discussed the project’s progress, the community’s need for additional long-term care capacity, and preparations for the home’s opening.
The expanded Four Seasons Lodge will feature three resident home areas, designed as neighbourhoods, along with a large gathering space, a spiritual space, and outdoor gardens and trails. These spaces will support residents’ daily lives, offering opportunities for connection, recreation, reflection, and time outdoors.
As construction advances, DRDH is also preparing for the next stage of the project: building the team that will support residents in their new home. The organization plans to have leadership positions filled by spring 2027, with the full team in place by mid-summer.
The new Four Seasons Lodge represents an important investment in long-term care for Deep River and the surrounding communities, helping address the need for additional care options close to home.
