Diabetes Education

The Deep River Diabetes Program is part of the Renfrew County Diabetes Education Program, a regional network of five centres supporting residents living with pre-diabetes, type 1, and type 2 diabetes.

Whether you are newly diagnosed, have been managing diabetes for years, or are looking to lower your risk of developing the condition, we’re here to help.

Our team offers personalized, one-on-one appointments with a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) to help you build confidence and skills to manage your health effectively.

  • Emotional and mental health aspects of living with diabetes
  • Healthy eating and meal planning
  • Monitoring your blood sugar
  • Staying active and exercising safely
  • Diabetes medications and insulin management
  • Preventing and managing complications
