Telemedicine

Deep River & District Health offers access to the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN), a secure system that uses live two-way video conferencing to connect patients with healthcare providers across the province. This service supports both clinical consultations and distance education for patients. Telemedicine appointments are held in a private room at Deep River & District Health and are supported by our trained staff.

This service is available by referral only and can help patients access timely care for a range of health concerns, including follow-up visits, specialist assessments, and chronic disease management.

Telemedicine allows patients to:

  • Access timely consultations with specialists across Ontario
  • Avoid unnecessary travel, reducing time and expense
  • Receive quality care closer to home
