DRDH ADJUSTS SERVICES DURING DEEP RIVER SHELTER-IN-PLACE

Deep River and District Health (DRDH) is temporarily adjusting some services in response to the Town of Deep River shelter-in-place order related to an active police investigation.

To support the safety of our patients, residents, visitors, and team members, DRDH is:

  • Temporarily reducing services and asking non-essential team members to remain at home.
  • Temporarily closing the Primary Care Building. Scheduled appointments and services will be rescheduled.
  • Closing outpatient laboratory services until further notice.
  • Asking community members to only come to the Emergency Department for life-threatening injuries or other medical emergencies. Please avoid coming to the Emergency Department for non-urgent care at this time.

Patients currently receiving care and residents of Four Seasons Lodge continue to be supported and cared for. There will be no visitation while the shelter-in-place order remains in effect.

Community members are asked to avoid the area around DRDH if possible and to follow all directions from local police. Please remain indoors and follow the Town of Deep River and Ontario Provincial Police for updates regarding the shelter-in-place order and police investigation.

For general inquiries, including questions about services or redirection of patients, or for media inquiries, please contact assistance@drdh.org.

DRDH will provide further updates regarding changes to services as information becomes available.
