Duties:

  •  Performs reception and clerical tasks to support the needs of the Nursing Department.
  • Prepare and post staff schedules meeting all scheduling requirements as per respective bargaining units.
  • Provides for needs of clinical environment through procurement of supplies and equipment, maintaining appropriate inventory.
  • Provide shift coverage on short-notice, as circumstances require.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures.
  • Supports and demonstrates the mission, vision and values of the Organization.
  • Other duties may be assigned and may not be limited to the scope of an individual department.

 

 Qualifications:                       

  •  Completion of an Office Administration program or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a Healthcare Environment preferred.
  • Recent clerical experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and co-ordinate tasks and duties with team members required.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
  • Advanced computer skills (MS Office, Electronic scheduling, etc.) required.
  • Exceptional Attendance required.
  • Must agree to adhere to DRDH standards of behaviour.
