Message to Patients

Due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic our clinic will be doing things differently.

 

All appointments will be virtual at this time. Effective immediately we are no longer booking appointments for non-essential services including physical exams, preventative care visits including pap tests, sick notes or normal test result follow up.

You will be prompted to complete an online secure form and we will contact you back via preferred selected method of either telephone or e-mail.

 

Please note all virtual appointments will be returned on the day of your scheduled appointment before 8:00 PM. At this time, we are accommodating most appointments within that day if requested. Please do not call back until after 8:00 PM if you have not heard from a doctor or nurse practitioner. If you have not received a call by 8:00 PM it is likely you missed your telephone appointment and if still needed complete the virtual appointment booking request or call our office back and reschedule.

 

Currently we are unable to perform any in clinic procedures or appointments including immunizations but we expect at some point in the near future to begin to accommodate some of these essential services, with priority for child immunizations and prenatal care. Check back for updated information. We are keeping track of all children who are missing planned immunizations and will also contact these families once we have a firm plan of how to deliver this care safely.

If after hours and you feel your symptoms are urgent and time sensitive but not life threatening you may contact the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre at 1-844-727-0604. You must have your OHIP card ready. A medical receptionist will take your details and arrange for a physician or nurse practitioner to contact you via telephone.

The North Renfrew Family Health Team provides access to a number of primary health care services from family doctors, nurse practitioners, registered practical nurses, social workers, dietitians and other allied health professionals who work collaboratively to deliver patient-centered care. Each member of our interdisciplinary team utilizes their experience and skills so that you, the patient, receive the very best care when you need it.


 

 

What to Bring

If you are offered an in-clinic appointment please bring your most current list of medications, your Health Card and a list of questions for your doctor with you to your appointment.

Hours of Operation

Due to COVID-19 our waiting room is closed.

Do not present to the clinic in person unless explicitly directed by staff.

 

Monday through Thursday 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

Friday 8:30 am – 12:30 pm

Flu Shot Clinic

The Flu Shot Clinic is currently on hold. An update will be provided when this service returns.


Online Booking System

North Renfrew Family Health Team started an online booking system as of December 31, 2019. At this time due to COVID-19 this system has been turned off and we now request you click here to submit a VIRTUAL APPOINTMENT BOOKING REQUEST.

 

You will be prompted to complete several forms and once these are complete, we will contact you through your preferred method of either telephone or email with the date of your appointment and any further relevant information or forms. As of March 27, 2020 we will be offering only a day for your appointment and request you be available for telephone consultation, at your preferred phone number, until 8:00 PM on that day. A nurse practitioner or physician who works at our clinic will call you on the allotted day. If you miss your telephone appointment we will not be calling you back and you must re-submit a virtual appointment booking request or call our office to reschedule.

 

If we have requested for you to complete any forms you must complete them before your telephone appointment and if not, we will reschedule your appointment.

 

In the future we may be able to offer a dedicated time for this appointment but currently this is not possible with the strain on our health care providers. 

 

You will be requested to complete a virtual consent and if this consent is not completed we will not be able to proceed with virtual care.

 

Virtual care at our clinic currently includes telephone consultations, the above booking request forms as well as other communication via an online e-mail based secure messaging platform that is compliant with current privacy legislation. If you have further questions about your privacy please discuss with our staff.
