Duties:
- Responsible for the registration
of all In-Patient, Emergency, and Out-Patients.
- Handles and directs incoming phone
calls to the hospital.
- Completes admissions, discharges
and their related functions.
- Responsible for completing
specific billings and records of transactions, in compliance with existing
financial policies and procedures.
- Responsible for scanning records
into Epic.
- Supports and demonstrates the
mission, vision and values of the Organization.
- Other duties may be assigned and
may not be limited to the scope of an individual department.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Office
Administration Diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Terminology course preferred.
- Experience in electronic medical
records systems an asset.
- Relevant healthcare and/or
registration experience preferred.
- Computer literacy and current
computer experience and familiarity with basic computer applications (i.e. MS
Word, MS Excel) required.
- Exceptional interpersonal,
communication, and customer service skills in dealings with the public
required.
- Ability to work well with others
in a team approach, and adapt to changing situations required.
- Ability to maintain staff, patient
and resident confidentiality.
- Exceptional Attendance required.
- Must agree to adhere to DRDH
standards of behaviour.
