COVID-19 Outbreak on Deep River & District Hospital's Inpatient Unit Cleared

Renfrew County Public Health has declared the COVID-19 outbreak on the Deep River & District Hospital’s Inpatient floor to be over. The required isolation period has ended and symptoms of those effected have resolved.

The Deep River & District Hospital would like to thank everyone for their continued cooperation during the outbreak as additional precautions were put in place to prevent further spread of the illness. The organization also extends its’ thanks to all of our team members who worked diligently to limit the spread of infection and for ensuring our patients remain safe.

As the outbreak has been declared over, visiting restrictions have been lifted for medical inpatients. General visitation has resumed on the inpatient unit, however visitor policies may be adjusted as necessary to keep the safety of our patients and staff at the forefront.


As a reminder, those entering the organization are required to complete passive screening and don a medical mask. Should you answer yes to any of the screening questions, you are asked to please not visit the facility, return home and reconsider your visit at a later time.
